Simple design processMinimal bureaucracy compared to other EU countries.
High demand for specialists: especially in the fields of IT, construction, medicine and logistics.
Long-term employment opportunities: a work visa and a residence permit give the opportunity to work and live in Latvia legally.
Relatively low cost of living: affordable housing and a reasonable cost of living.
Free movement in the Schengen area: the opportunity to travel around Europe without additional visas.
How to get a residence permit to work in Latvia?
A temporary residence permit for employment is issued for up to one year and is not available if the employer pays micro-enterprise tax. The employer first registers the vacancy with the State Employment Agency and then sends an invitation. The right to work may be limited to a specific employer and occupation, or to part-time work. Russian citizens cannot apply on this ground. The exception is a one-year repeat permit for those who already had the right to work in Latvia, have worked here for at least the last three months with income tax paid and continue working. The process has several stages:
Consultation: analysis of your situation and selection of the most appropriate solution.
Preparation of an employment contract: assistance in concluding an appropriate employment contract with a Latvian employer.
Preparation of documents: assistance in filling out the questionnaire, preparation of necessary documents, verification of the contract.
Submission of an application to the migration service: we ensure the submission of all necessary documents.
Support during the interview: professional assistance and ensuring the accuracy of the application.
Obtaining a residence permit: we monitor the review process and inform you about each stage.
